This is a really cool and educational site. It has a map of the nations of Europe and North Africa and the Western Middle East (Oxymoron) for every 100 years from 0 to 2000. It is quite amazing to see small nations rise up, annex, unify, and fall apart through each century. The oldest maps from the first few hundred years are all in Latin (I think).
